Called to be Citizens

Call of Nature continues to grow and build a community on Oakwynd. It's now four weeks since the server was launched (only four weeks until Kunark!) and all those who started in the first week and are still active are now Citizens (senior members). Our first wave of the 'last' promotions is impressive (and took me two days to get through in-game and on Discord).

In the first days after Mane posted the advert on the EQ official forums, there was a small trickle of individuals signing up on the Discord. While I was happy to see others were interested in having a more casual vs race to raid experience, I personally thought the guild would likely be at most 20-30 players. Oh how wrong this was! In the first week we had over 100 players in the guild. Admittedly, many who started in the first week have not continued to play, but we have had many more players join in the next week and each week following. It is a rare day, still, that we don't have a handful of new applicants.

At four weeks in, we have over 60 players who have been active with us since that first weekend and have now been promoted to Citizen. The wave from the second week is nearly as many with more active players added since. And, we're actively recruiting for more players to blanket even more timezones so we can sponsor activities, like raids, in more than one time zone with enough able to join to make the events viable without ever requiring participation.

For this, we've also grown our ranks of Champions, those who have stepped forward to assist with classes and excursions to not overwhelm any one of them. Our officers are also hard at work keeping the guild running smoothly (so much paperwork!) while still having time to play themselves.

In addition to leveling, several in the guild have also been working on tradeskills. We have tradeskillers who are able to make many of the top crafted items available to make in Classic. Many in the guild donate the tradeskill materials they find on their adventures to help advance the skills of others. The tradeskill depots of those who have Night of Shadows are being put to good use. We have armor makers, metal and leather/silk, in many of the races poised to be able to make Cultural Armor when we can get the drops in the Kunark lands.

Call of nature is a very busy and active guild with members online all the time.

(Citizen as a rank is only given to one character of a player and to their Discord persona. We do have and encourage alts in the guild as well, with Adventurer being the alts of a Citizen.)

Many groups are formed from just the ranks of the guild with replacements extending the camp and experience.

Called to Sky

Just as with our excursions to the Planes of Hate and Fear, an excursion was undertaken to begin our conquest of Sky! Our brave adventurers got to the fourth island and many items were obtained along the way. Sadly, they were having too much fun to get me any pictures. 😁

Called to RAID

Call of Nature's first official 'progression' RAID is scheduled for 15 July, the weekend before Kunark unlocks! Our original plans were to do progression raids one expansion back, i.e. Classic during Kunark and Kunark during Velious, but the growth of Call of Nature has been so explosive, we've moved that scheduling forward. Our first targets is a Double Dragon Elimination! Vox and Nagafen
